Destroyed definition

Destroyed means incinerated, tilled under the soil, made into compost, or another manner approved by the department.
Destroyed means, with respect to a nonconforming outdoor advertising device, that, in the case of wooden sign structures, sixty percent (60%) or more of the upright supports of a sign structure are physically damaged such that normal repair practices would call for replacement of the broken supports or, in the case of metal sign structures, replacement of at least thirty percent (30%) of the length above ground of each broken, bent, or twisted support;
Destroyed means completely destroyed above the foundation, or so substantially damaged as to require demolition to the foundation, or such other severity of damage as may be established or imposed by applicable governmental law or ordinance which, if suffered, would constitute total destruction or require demolition before repair or reconstruction may commence.

More Definitions of Destroyed

Destroyed means a nonconforming sign shall be considered destroyed if more than fifty percent of the sign structure components are dislocated or damaged to the extent that the sign face has fallen to the ground.
Destroyed means that at least 60 percent of the supports are broken, if wooden, or broken, bent or twisted, if metal, such that normal repair practices would call for the replacement of the damaged supports.
