Section 72 of the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act 1999, together with the Social Security (Claims and Information) Regulations 1999 and the Welfare Reform and Pensions Act (Section 72) (Relevant Authority) Designation Order 2010, create a legislative gateway enabling relevant employment and training information to be shared between DWP and providers in order to assist claimants with employment and training needs.
