CVV2 definition

CVV2 means the Card Verification Value 2.
CVV2 means a three or four-digit numeric code on a Card allowing Merchant to verify Cardholder’s possession of Card if passed in a Purchase or Authorization.
CVV2 means card verification value and is a three digit number located at the back of the card and is usually used as a signature for card-not-present transactions.

  • You acknowledge that some PayPal Services do not provide you access to Cardholder Data (defined as a cardholder’s account number, expiration date, and CVV2) for payments received by you through such services.

  • You acknowledge that with respect to PayPal payments: (i) you do not have access to Cardholder Data (defined as a cardholder’s account number, expiration date, and CVV2) for payments received by you through the PayPal Services; and (ii) you agree you shall not request access to Cardholder Data from either PayPal or any customer making a PayPal payment through the PayPal Services.

  • You also agree that you will use only PCI compliant service providers in connection with the storage, or transmission of Cardholder Data (defined as a cardholder’s account number, expiration date, and CVV2).

  • For the avoidance of doubt, the Merchant must not store prohibited Cardholder data including magnetic stripe data (track data), EMV data (chip data) and the CVV2 after a transaction is complete and must immediately destroy this information in one of the manners set out in Condition 31.1(xii) after processing a non-Recurring Transaction or after processing the initial Recurring Transaction.

  • Merchant acknowledges that it does not have access to Cardholder Data (defined as the cardholder’s account number, expiration date, and CVV2) and will not request access to Cardholder Data from either PayPal or the cardholder.
