Administration of anesthesia by a Physician or certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) may be covered.
In those instances where the CRNA is actively directed by a Physician other than the Physician who performed the surgical procedure, our payment for Covered Services, if any, will be made for both the CRNA and the Physician Health Care Services at the lower directed-services amount.
