Contractholder definition

Contractholder means any entity that is a party to a Contract with a Participating Company (as defined below).
Contractholder means the holder of interests in a Contract or a participant in an employee benefit plan with a beneficial interest in a Contract.
Contractholder shall include, as applicable, (i) the beneficial owner of Shares, whether the Shares are held directly by Contractholder or by Insurance Company in nominee name; (ii) a Separate Account unit holder, notwithstanding that the Separate Account may be deemed to be the beneficial owner of Shares; or (iii) the holder of interests in a Participating Fund underlying a variable annuity or variable life insurance contract.

  • No statement in any application, except a fraudulent statement, made by the Contractholder or by a [Member] covered under this Contract shall be used in contesting the validity of his or her coverage or in denying benefits after such coverage has been in force for two years during the person's lifetime.

Contractholder means the person to whom the benefit plan is issued. Any other person approved for coverage with the Contractholder under this plan is a Dependent. Under group coverage, the Contractholder is the member who is eligible for coverage because of his or her affiliation with a Group.
