Consumptive use definition

Consumptive use with respect to heating oil means consumed on the premises.
Consumptive use means that portion of the water withdrawn or withheld from the basin that is lost or otherwise not returned to the basin due to evaporation, incorporation into products, or other processes.
Consumptive use means consumed on the premises where the storage tank system is located.

Consumptive use means a use of waters of the state, other than an interbasin diversion, that results in a failure to return any or all of the water to the basin from which it is withdrawn. “Con- sumptive uses” include, but are not limited to, evaporation and incorporation of water into a product or agricultural crop.
Consumptive use means the man-made diversions of water from the Colorado River System, less any return flow to the river system of water that is available for Consumptive Use in the Upper Basin.
