As used in this act:(a) "Chief elected official" means a chief elected official of a unit of general local government.(b) "Department" means the department of labor and economic growth.(c) "Education advisory group" means an education advisory group described in section 23.(d) "Michigan works agency" means an entity designated to be the administrator for workforce development activities in a local Michigan works area under the guidance of the local workforce development board.
For purposes of this Act:31 (1) "Chief elected official" means:32 (A) The chief elected executive officer of a unit of general33 local government in a local area; or34 (B) In a case in which a local area includes more than one (1)35 unit of general local government, the chief elected officials shall include36 the county judge(s) and the mayor(s) of the first-class city(ies).
