CEWS definition

CEWS means the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, promulgated under Bill C-14 and assented to on April 11, 2020, as amended, and any other COVID-19 related direct or indirect wage or rent subsidy offered by a federal, provincial, or local or foreign Governmental Entity (including, for greater certainty, the Canada Recovery Hiring Program).
CEWS means the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, for purposes of section 125.7 of the Tax Act, and any other COVID-19 related direct or indirect wage subsidy offered by a Canadian federal, provincial, or local Governmental Authority.
CEWS means the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, Tourism and Hospitality Recovery Program, Hardest-Hit Business Recovery Program or Canada Emergency Rent Subsidy, in each case as provided for under section 125.7 of the Tax Act, or any analogous or similar COVID-19 relief measures enacted by any Governmental Entity;

  • CEWS Invoicing: CEWS will be billed to Customer on an annual basis, 30 days in advance of CEWS being provided, except that CEWS for the 2005 period will be invoiced on “The Period CEWS Begins” as described on page 1 of this Amendment No. 5.
