Cementing definition

Cementing means the operation whereby a cement slurry is pumped into a drilled hole and/or forced behind the casing.
Cementing means operation by which cement and water mixture is pumped down through the casing in such a way that it fills the space between casing and walls of the well to a predetermined height above the bottom of the well ;
Cementing means the process of mixing and placing cement grout in a hole to prevent the vertical movement of fluids in the hold or the annulus.

Examples of Cementing in a sentence

More Definitions of Cementing

Cementing means to seal the annular space around the outside of a casing string using a specially formulated mixture to hold the casing in place and prevent any movement of fluid in this annular space. Cementing also includes operations to seal the well at the time of abandonment.
Cementing means the act of employing cementitious material in the annulus behind the well casing.
Cementing means to seal the annular space around the outside of a casing string using a specially formulated portland cement mixture or other hydraulic cement mixture to hold the casing in place and prevent any movement of fluid in this annular space. Cementing also includes operations to sealthe well at the time of abandonment.
Cementing means the act of pumping a slurry into a wellbore to perform functions such as supporting and sealing casing, isolating formations behind casing, protecting freshwater formations, and sealing perforations in casing.
Cementing means the operation where a cement slurry is placed into a borehole and/or forced behind a casing or between casings.
Cementing or “Sealing” means the operation whereby a cement slurry or other approved material is pumped into a drilled hole and/or forced into a well’s annulus between the borehole and the casing. “Sealing materials” are materials that are stable, have very low to no permeability and possess minimum shrinking properties such that they are optimal sealing materials for well plugging and drill hole abandonments.
Cementing means the operation whereby a cement slurry is pumped into a drilled
