Building construction definition

Building construction means any physical activity on the site involved in the erection of a structure, cladding, external finish, formwork, fixture, fitting of service installation and the unloading of plant, machinery, materials or the like.
Building construction means furnishing labor, equipment, material or supplies used or consumed for the design, construction, alteration, renovation, repair or maintenance of a building or structure. Building construction does not include highways, roads, bridges, dams, turnpikes or related structures, or stand-alone parking lots.
