Examples of BOD5 in a sentence
Samples must, at a minimum, be analyzed for the following parameters: fecal coliform bacteria; five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5); total suspended solids (TSS); total phosphorus as phosphorus; dissolved phosphorus as phosphorus; ammonia-nitrogen as nitrogen; TKN as nitrogen; nitrate as nitrogen; pH; metals; and temperature.
The Treatment Plant shall provide facilities to treat all effluent to the following levels: BOD5, mg/l Less than 30 mg/l Total Suspended Solids, TSS, mg/l Less than 30 mg/L BOD5 and TSS limits shall be based on 30 day (monthly) average values of tests performed daily on 24 hour composite samples of effluent.

Self-monitoring reports, submitted by the Respondent for the Facility, show a total of 125 reported effluent limit violations of total coliform, BOD5, turbidity, total ammonia as nitrogen (ammonia-nitrogen), and total residual chlorine during the period of May 2015 through December 2023, 98 of which are subject to Mandatory Minimum Penalties (MMPs) pursuant to California Water Code section 13385 subdivision (i).
