Biodegradable material is defined as follows: MATERIAL CAPABLE OF BEING BROKEN DOWN FROM A COMPLEX MOLECULAR STRUCTURE INTO SIMPLER GASSES AND ORGANIC COMPOUNDS BY LIVING MICROORGANISMS.
