On June 26, 2023, the BEAD Program allocations for all 50 states and the U.S. Territories were announced.
This Rule is applicable only to funding allocated under and projects undertaken pursuant to the BEAD program.
ARConnect will treat locations that the National Broadband Map shows to have available qualifying broadband service (i.e., a location that is “served”) delivered via DSL as “underserved.” This modification will better reflect the locations eligible for BEAD funding because it will facilitate the phase- out of legacy copper facilities and ensure the delivery of “future-proof” broadband service.
For availability challenges, ARConnect will manually verify that the evidence submitted falls within the categories stated in the NTIA BEAD Challenge Process Policy Notice and the document is unredacted and dated.
