Upon exchange or transfer the Bond Registrar shall complete, authenticate and deliver a new Bond or Bonds of any Authorized Denomination or Denominations requested by the owner equal in the aggregate to the unmatured principal amount of the Bond surrendered and bearing interest at the same rate and maturing on the same date.
Any Bond may be exchanged for Bonds of any Authorized Denomination upon presentation and surrender at the designated corporate trust office of the Bond Registrar, together with a request for exchange signed by the registered owner or by a person legally empowered to do so in a form satisfactory to the Bond Registrar.
If the Owner of any such Bond fails to present such Bond to the Paying Agent for payment and exchange as aforesaid, such Bond shall, nevertheless, become due and payable on the redemption date to the extent of a minimum Authorized Denomination of face value called for redemption (and to that extent only).
In the case of a partial redemption of Notes by lot when Notes of denominations greater than a minimum Authorized Denomination are then Outstanding, then for all purposes in connection with such redemption each minimum Authorized Denomination of face value shall be treated as though it were a separate Note of the denomination of a minimum Authorized Denomination.
Bonds of less than a full Stated Maturity shall be selected by the Bond Registrar in a minimum Authorized Denomination of principal amount in such equitable manner as the Bond Registrar may determine.
