The CHA is engaged in the development and operation of safe, decent and sanitary housing throughout the City of Chicago for low income families in accordance with the United States Housing Act of 1937, 42 U.S.C. §1437 et seq.; regulations promulgated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD"), and the Illinois Housing Authorities Act.
