This column indicates the relevant Skills Assessing Authority for the occupation.
Qualifications are to be assessed by the relevant Skills Assessing Authority (as indicated in the EK DAMA Occupation & Concessions List and specified in the Labour Agreement) as being at least equivalent to the relevant Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) qualification, in order to assist the Department of Home Affairs’ decision as to whether the visa applicant has the necessary qualifications for the position.
The Minister may require a person to demonstrate that he or she has the skills that are necessary to perform the tasks of the nominated occupation by undertaking a skills assessment conducted by an independent Skills Assessing Authority (as specified in the Labour Agreement).
The visa applicant must: • Undergo a skills assessment conducted by the relevant Skills Assessing Authority (as specified in the Labour Agreement) • Have at least a relevant AQF or equivalent Certificate II or III; OR • Have at least one year full time relevant work experience as a substitute for the formal qualification.
