All welding done on piping, pressure vessels and structural steel under this Section shall be performed only by persons who are currently qualified in accordance with ANSI Code B31.1 for Pressure Piping and certified by the American Welding Society, A.S.M.E. Section IX or an approved independent testing laboratory; and each such welder shall present his certificate attesting his qualifications to the Engineer’s representative whenever requested to do so on the job.
All pressure vessels shall conform to A.S.M.E. and Massachusetts codes and regulations.
Contractor shall prepare and provide a Maintenance Control Program (MCP) in compliance with the more stringent requirement of ASME A17.1 or the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) Code in effect.
All work shall be performed and supervised by an electrical motor shop ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ in conjunction with the applicable qualifications outlined by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and the American Society of Electrical Engineers (ASEE).
Instructions for locating this written program shall be posted on the controller cabinets, at least one per elevator, as required by ASME A17.1. Documentation of the MCP must be kept in a visible location in each machine room.
