Appreciation Value definition

Appreciation Value means the excess, if any, of the Value of a Phantom Share on the applicable Valuation Date or date of termination of employment or of the Participant's death, Retirement or Permanent Disability (as described in Section 5.5(a) hereof), as the case may be, over the Initial Value of such Phantom Share.
Appreciation Value means the increase in the value of a Phantom Share awarded to a Participant and as described in Section 8.1 of the Plan.
Appreciation Value means the appreciation in the Fair Market Value of a Share for purposes of determining payments to be made to a Grantee, and shall be measured by determining the amount equal to the Fair Market Value of a Share on the exercise date minus the exercise price of the SAR being exercised.

More Definitions of Appreciation Value

Appreciation Value means the appreciation in the Fair Market Value of one share of Stock which shall be measured by determining the amount equal to the Fair Market Value of one share of Stock on the exercise date minus the per share exercise price of the SAR being exercised.
Appreciation Value means the accrual value of an (i.e., one) Exercised Right, as determined in accordance with Section 5.2 of the Plan.
Appreciation Value means, in respect of each SAR, an amount equal to the closing price per Share, in respect of a Non-Canadian Participant, unless otherwise specified in a Grant Agreement, on the New York Stock Exchange and, in respect of a Canadian Participant, unless otherwise specified in a Grant Agreement, on the Toronto Stock Exchange, on the immediately preceding Trading Day the SAR is exercised, less the Base Value of the SAR; provided that if, in respect of a Non-Canadian Participant, the Shares are not listed and posted for trading on the New York Stock Exchange on the immediately preceding Trading Day the SAR is exercised, or, in respect of a Canadian Participant, are not listed and posted for trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on the immediately preceding Trading Day the SAR is exercised, then “Appreciation Value” shall be the fair market value per Share as determined by the Board in its sole discretion, less the Base Value of the SAR;
