Amusement device definition

Amusement device means a video lottery game terminal, including but not limited to any electronic, mechanical-electronic or nonmechanical device that:
Amusement device means an electrical and or mechanical device possessed and used in accordance with Iowa Code section 99B.10. An amusement device is not a game of skill or chance as defined in Iowa Code section 99B.1, a gambling device, or a device that plays poker, blackjack, or keno. Roulette wheels, slot machines, and other devices specified in Iowa Code section 725.9 as gambling devices are not amusement devices.
Amusement device means any machine, device, or contrivance, not prohibited or declared unlawful by the City or the state of Utah, designed or intended to be operated or used for amusement or the playing of a game upon or in exchange for paying a fee or inserting a coin or token.

  • For the purposes of this subchapter, the following terms are defined as follows: Amusement device or ride.

  • Amusement device, permanent means a device which is used, or intended to be used, as an amusement device or amusement attraction that is erected to remain a lasting part of the premises.

Amusement device means any machine or device which provides recreation or entertain- ment for which a charge is made for use or play, and includes, but is not limited to, pool and billiard tables, shuffleboards, music machines, video games, pinball games, riding devices, panoram and peepshow devices, televisions and devices for display of pictures or views on film; provided, that it does not mean or include any machine or device used exclusively for the vend- ing of merchandise.
Amusement device means any machine, table, apparatus or device intended for use by the public for entertainment, recreation and/or amusement, including, but not limited to, "pinball" machines, mechanical and non-mechanical pool tables whether miniature or otherwise, billiard tables, ping pong tables, bowling machines, shuffle boards, electric rifle or gun ranges, miniature mechanical or computer devices and games or amusements patterned after basketball, hockey and similar games or war games and like devices, machines or games which shall be played solely for amusement, recreation and/or entertainment and not as gambling devices and which machines shall be played either by the insertion of a coin or other token or by payment of a fixed fee directly to the supervisor of the establishment in which the machines are located.
Amusement device means a climbing wall utilizing an auto-belay system; a bungee jump as defined in 875—Chapter 63; a device allowing a patron to jump on a trampoline while attached to one or more bungee cords; a dry slide; a mechanical bull; a zip line that does not allow the rider to touch the ground at all times; and an air-supported structure.
Amusement device means any table, platform, mechanical device or apparatus operated or intended to be operated for amusement, pleasure, test of skill, competition, sport, the use or operation of which is conditioned upon payment of a consideration either by insertion of a coin or token in a slot or otherwise. Such amusement device shall include but not be limited to, devices commonly known as baseball, football, basketball, hockey, pinball, shuffleboard, ray guns, bowling games, bumper games, skiball, electronic video games, and shall also include billiard tables and pool tables, whether coin operated or not. Such definition does not include a bowling alley, juke box or other coin-operated music machine or a mechanical children’s amusement riding device.
Amusement device means (i) a device or structure open to the public by which persons are conveyed or moved in an unusual manner for diversion and (ii) passenger tramways.
Amusement device means (i) a device or structure open to the public by which persons are conveyed or moved in an unusual manner for diversion, but excluding snow tubing parks and rides, ski terrain parks, ski slopes, and ski trails, and (ii) passenger tramways. For the purpose of this definition, the phrase "open to the public" means that the public has full access to a device or structure at an event, irrespective of whether a fee is charged. The use of devices or structures at private events is not considered to be open to the public.
Amusement device means any coin-operated or remote-controlled machine, device, contrivance, apparatus or appliance, mechanical, electrical or hand-propelled, designed to be used in whole or in part as an instrument or instrumentally for engaging in the use and exercise of skill by one or more persons in playing a game for the amusement and entertainment of the player or players and which is maintained commercially for such purpose.
