Allowable Costs definition

Allowable Costs means the costs defined as allowable in 42 CFR, Chapter IV, Part 413, as amended to October 1, 2007, except for the purposes of calculating direct medical education costs, where only the reported costs of the interns and residents are allowed. Further, costs are allowable only to the extent that they relate to patient care; are reasonable, ordinary, and necessary; and are not in excess of what a prudent and cost-conscious buyer would pay for the given service or item.
Allowable Costs means the costs described in 2 CFR Part 200 or 45 CFR Part 75, as applicable, except to the extent such costs are limited or excluded by other provisions of this Agreement, whether in the applicable Program Element Descriptions, the Special Terms and Conditions, the Financial Assistance Award, or otherwise.
Allowable Costs has the same meaning as in 44 Ill. Admin. Code Part 7000. “Award” has the same meaning as in 44 Ill. Admin. Code Part 7000. “Budget” has the same meaning as in 44 Ill. Admin. Code Part 7000.

Examples of Allowable Costs in a sentence

  • Unit prices stated in the Contract Documents or agreed upon by City and Contractor, which shall be deemed to include all Allowable Costs, Contractor Markup and Subcontractor Markup.

  • A fixed sum calculated as ten percent (10%) of applicable Allowable Costs incurred by Contractor or Subcontractor for performing Extra Work with its own forces, which is deemed to be full compensation for Contractor’s or Subcontractor’s indirect costs associated with Extra Work, including, overhead, profit, and other indirect costs not included in the Allowable Costs.

More Definitions of Allowable Costs

Allowable Costs means costs associated with DHS Programs which are reimbursable from DHS funds. Allowable Costs include expenses that are (1) necessary and related to the provision of Program services, (2) reasonable to the extent that a given cost is consistent with the amount paid by similar agencies for similar services, (3) not specified as unallowable, and (4) not illegal. Research expenses may be considered Allowable Costs if Prior Approval is received from DHS. (89 Ill. Adm. Code §509.20(a))
Allowable Costs means the price a prudent, cost-conscious buyer would pay a willing seller for goods or services in an arm’s-length transaction, not to exceed the limitations set out in rules.

Allowable Costs. Reported costs shall be allowable and reasonable as defined in federal statutes and regulations including 45 CFR Part 74, 45 CFR Part 1356, and in California CDSS MPP Section 11-402.8.
Allowable Costs as used in this Section 2.13 for a particular phase of Operations shall mean all charges to the Company excluding (i) the administrative charge referred to herein; and (ii) amounts charged in accordance with Sections 2.1 and 2.9.
