Vocational Education. Per diem rate for summer administratively approved obligations and weekend activities. (Weekend activities are defined as falling between 6:00 a.m. Saturday morning and 12:00 p.m. Sunday night.) Activities lasting up to four (4) hours on weekends or during the summer will be prorated as ½ day.

Vocational Education. Section A: Work Experience Credit: Vocational education staff members who work in business or industry, and who work in their subject field during the summer, shall be given credit on the salary schedule. Credit: Every 80 hours of work experience directly related to the specialty will be equated to one (1) semester hour of credit on the salary schedule. This is not to exceed a maximum often (10) semester hours of credit with a maximum of five (5) which can be earned in any one summer. After attaining placement on the M.A. schedule, an additional ten (10) hours beyond the M.A. shall be granted based on every 80 clock hours of work experience directly related to the specialty will be equated to one (1) semester hour of credit on the salary schedule. This is not to exceed a maximum often (10) semester hours of credit with a maximum of five (5) which can be earned in any one summer. Procedure for Approval: The staff member must apply for approval by completing the appropriate form which must then be approved by the principal and the Superintendent of Schools. For final approval and determination of salary credit to be granted upon completion of said work experience, a written report shall be submitted summarizing the benefits that were derived and documenting the number of hours worked.
Vocational Education. A minimum of two thousand hours of related work experience will be credited as one year teaching experience for teachers hired to teach vocational education (i.e. courses for which state reimbursement is received as vocational education). This provision does not establish a precedent for any other educational program.
Vocational Education. 7.11.1 Vocational education and training is an integral and expanding curriculum provision in Queensland Catholic schools. In circumstances where a principal determines that the Middle Leadership structure at his/her school will include vocational education and training, the designated teachers responsible for its coordination and/or leadership, and who accept a middle leader position, shall be appointed to a program leader position, as defined in Schedule 4 (Positions of Leadership in Diocesan Schools) of this Agreement.
Vocational Education. This term means organized educational programs that are directly related to the prepa- ration of individuals for paid or unpaid employment, or for additional prepara- tion for a career requiring other than a baccalaureate or advanced degree.
Vocational Education. If an employee is paid wages according to level 3 and takes 60 credits of education as mentioned in §12.2 Vocational education over 2 years in time off, the employee shall have an ordinary seniority promotion to level 5 plus one year for the education and shall be paid according to level 6 For employees who are exclusively engaged in simple, unskilled work, such as price marking, cleaning and wrapping at the packing counter, promotion to the minimum wage rates is limited to grade 2 of the scale in Appendix 1A. Disputes that may arise in connection with the restriction provision shall be taken up for discussion between the company management and the shop stewards. If no agreement is reached, negotiations shall be entered into between the organizations if one of the parties so requests. If no agreement is reached, the dispute shall be decided by a tribunal, consisting of a representative of each of the parties with a neutral arbitrator appointed by the parties jointly. If these do not agree, the arbitrator shall be appointed by the National Mediator.
Vocational Education. A planned sequence of instruction which prepares an individual for an occupational field in which there may be a variety of specific jobs. It may result in a degree, if the participant can complete the degree within two academic years.
Vocational Education. Vocational Coordinators pay will be prorated at 2.5% of salary step for each additional week worked. The number of additional weeks worked before and after the regular school year will be determined by the following schedule: 25-39 3 40 and over 4 The individual coordinators "Cooperative Education Monthly Report" for the preceding May, will determine the number of student placements. Coordinators work schedule will be developed in cooperation with the Vocational Director.
Vocational Education. Certification: Certification and/or State Annual authorization for the level and type of position.
