Resale Certificate Clause Examples
A Resale Certificate clause outlines the requirements and procedures for providing documentation that verifies a buyer's intent to purchase goods for resale rather than for personal use. Typically, this clause specifies that the buyer must furnish a valid resale certificate to the seller before the transaction is completed, ensuring that sales tax is not improperly charged. By clearly defining the obligations regarding resale certificates, this clause helps prevent tax liability issues and ensures compliance with applicable tax laws.
