Processing Records Clause Samples

The Processing Records clause defines the requirements and procedures for handling, maintaining, and managing records related to data processing activities. It typically outlines what types of records must be kept, the format and duration of record retention, and who is responsible for maintaining these records. For example, it may require parties to document processing activities, data transfers, or security incidents. The core function of this clause is to ensure accountability and transparency in data processing, facilitating compliance with legal or regulatory obligations and enabling effective audits or investigations if needed.
