PIU Sample Clauses
The PIU (Proportionate Interest Unit) clause defines how interests, rights, or obligations are allocated among parties based on their respective shares or units in a project, asset, or agreement. In practice, this means that each party’s entitlements—such as profits, costs, or liabilities—are calculated according to their proportional ownership or participation, which could be expressed as a percentage or a specific number of units. This clause ensures that benefits and responsibilities are distributed fairly and transparently, preventing disputes over unequal treatment and clarifying each party’s stake in the arrangement.
