Mergers, Acquisitions, Etc Sample Clauses
The "Mergers, Acquisitions, Etc" clause defines how the agreement is affected if one of the parties undergoes a significant corporate change, such as a merger, acquisition, consolidation, or sale of assets. Typically, this clause outlines whether the rights and obligations under the contract will transfer automatically to the new entity or if consent is required from the other party. Its core function is to provide certainty and continuity for contractual relationships during major corporate transactions, preventing disputes or unintended termination of the agreement when ownership or control changes.
