Maintenance Coverage. When Customer orders maintenance Service for Machines, IBM will inform Customer of the date on which maintenance Service will begin. IBM may inspect the Machine within one month following that date. If the Machine is not in an acceptable condition for service, Customer may have IBM restore it for a charge or Customer may withdraw its request for maintenance Service. However, Customer will be charged for any maintenance Service which IBM has performed at Customer’s request.

Maintenance Coverage. In order to provide support to plant operations after hours, each maintenance mechanic is expected to be on-call for service. The company agrees that after six (6) months they will meet with the union to discuss the effectiveness of the program and review opportunities for improvement. This policy is separate from the current policy on “call in”/coverage for those employees classified as Control Mechanics, except that item 1(d) shall apply to control mechanics.
