Lapses. When a policy lapses, the corresponding Reinsured Policy will be terminated effective the same date. The Reinsurer's liability with respect to unearned premiums on the terminated Reinsured Policy is set out in Exhibit F. Unless specified otherwise in this Agreement, if a policy fully retained by the Company lapses, the Reinsured Policy or Policies on that same life will be reduced or terminated effective the same date in order for the Company to maintain its full retention. The terms under the preceding Reductions clause would apply. If the Company allows extended or reduced paid-up insurance following a lapse, the reinsurance will be appropriately amended. If the Company allows the policy to remain in force under its automatic premium loan regulations, the reinsurance will continue unchanged and in force as long as such regulations remain in effect, except as provided for otherwise in this Agreement.

Lapses. When a policy issued by the Company lapses, the corresponding reinsurance on the Reinsured Policy will be terminated effective the same date. Unless specified otherwise in this Agreement, if a policy fully retained by the Company lapses, the terms of Article 7.3 will apply. Full retention shall be defined as specified in Exhibit D of this Agreement. If a policy issued by the Company lapses and extended term insurance is elected under the terms of that policy, the corresponding reinsurance on the Reinsured Policy will continue on the same basis as the original Reinsured Policy until the expiry of the extended term period.
Lapses. If insurance lapses for nonpayment of premium and is reinstated under the terms of the particular policy and the Ceding Company's usual reinstatement practices and procedures, the reinsurance shall be reinstated by the Reinsurer as of the date of reinstatement. The Ceding Company must pay the Reinsurer all back reinsurance premiums and interest in the same manner as the Ceding Company received insurance premiums and interest under the particular policy.

Unless specified otherwise in this AGREEMENT, if a policy fully retained by the CEDING COMPANY lapses, the terms of Article X will apply. If a policy issued by the CEDING COMPANY lapses and extended term insurance is elected under the terms of that policy, the corresponding reinsurance on the reinsured policy will continue on the same basis as the original reinsured policy until the expiry of the extended term period. If a policy issued by the CEDING COMPANY lapses and reduced paid-up insurance is elected under the terms of that policy, the amount of the corresponding reinsurance on the reinsured policy will be reduced according to the terms of Article X. If the CEDING COMPANY allows the policy to remain in force under its automatic premium loan regulations, the corresponding reinsurance on the reinsured policy will continue unchanged and in force as long as such regulations remain in effect, except as otherwise provided in this AGREEMENT.

If the policy continues in force without payment of premium during any days of grace pending its termination, whether such continuance is as a result of a policy provision or a practice of the Company, the reinsurance will also continue without payment of premium and will terminate on the same date as the Company’s risk terminates. Reinstatements If a policy reinsured on an automatic basis is reinstated in accordance with the terms and normal Company rules and practices, the Reinsurer shall reinstate the reinsurance automatically. If the Company collects premiums in arrears from the policyholder of a reinstated policy, it agrees to pay the Reinsurer all corresponding reinsurance premiums in arrears in connection with the reinstatement. The Reinsurer’s approval is required only for the reinstatement of a facultative policy when the Company’s regular reinstatement rules indicate that more evidence than a Statement of Good Health is required.
