Intensive Care Unit. Intensive care unit means an identified section, xxxx or wing of a hospital which is under the constant supervision of a dedicated medical practitioner(s), and which is specially equipped for the continuous monitoring and treatment of patients who are in a critical condition, or require life support facilities and where the level of care and supervision is considerably more sophisticated and intensive than in the ordinary and other wards.

Intensive Care Unit. Shall be defined as a section, unit or area of a Hospital that is designated as an intensive care unit by the Hospital and is reserved and operated exclusively for the purpose of providing Services for critically ill patients.
Intensive Care Unit. Room and Board charges for a stay in an intensive care unit which is equipped and operated according to generally recognized Hospital standards.
Intensive Care Unit. A class of room dedicated to the constant, close monitoring of the vital body functions of critically ill patients, which provides a high ratio of nursing staff to patients, and which has full facilities for the resuscitation of patients. This definition also includes a coronary care unit which has facilities not less comprehensive than those described above.
Intensive Care Unit. This is a designated xxxx; unit; or area within a hospital for which a specified extra daily surcharge is made and which is staffed and equipped to provide; on a continuous basis; specialized or intensive care or services; not regularly provided within such hospital. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) This is a program of at least 2 hours per day and at least six hours per week of clinical treatment provided in a facility or program for treatment of a mental disorder or substance abuse issue provided under the direction of a physician. Services may include group, individual, family or multi-family group psychotherapy, psycho educational services, and adjunctive services such as medication monitoring.
Intensive Care Unit. We shall reimburse the Reasonable and Customary Charges for actual room and board incurred during confinement as an inpatient in the Intensive Care Unit of the Hospital. This benefit shall be payable equal to the actual charges made by the Hospital subject to the maximum benefit for any one Day, and maximum number of Days, as set forth in the Schedule of Benefits. Where the period of confinement in an Intensive Care Unit exceeds the maximum set forth in the Schedule of Benefits, reimbursement will be restricted to the standard daily Hospital Room and Board rate. No Hospital Room and Board Benefits shall be paid for the same confinement period where the daily Intensive Care Unit Benefits is payable.
Intensive Care Unit. Intensive Care Unit charges for treatment of a critical ailment caused by Covid-19, provided such confinement was recommended by a specialist.
