Ideally work will take place outside of the recreation season which typically runs from April to October. However, work during the recreation season is often unavoidable and to be expected. During the recreation season, the Contractor will be expected to safely work within heavily utilized areas. All potential bidders are encouraged to visit Lake Shelbyville prior to bidding to discuss the requirements with the Operations Manager and other Corps of Engineers personnel. Failure to inspect the site prior to bidding does not constitute a grounds for withdrawal after the bid opening.
