EXTRA PERFORMANCES AND SERVICES. (a) If any ARTIST shall be required to take part in a greater number of performances in any one week than is provided for herein, or if any Leading or Featured ARTIST is required to take part in two (2) performances in any one (1) day, such ARTIST shall be paid an additional compensation based upon a pro-rata of his contractual compensation (exclusive of per diem) for each such additional performance. (b) Any ARTIST who performs the services of Singer and Stage Director in the same opera production shall be compensated for such engagement by two distinct fees, in each appropriate category. (c) Any Dancer who performs the services of a CHOREOGRAPHER in addition to that of a SOLO DANCER, shall be paid both fees, either at weekly rate or the single performance rate, as the case may be.

Any ARTIST who performs the services of SOLO SINGER and STAGE DIRECTOR in the same opera production shall be paid two (2) distinct fees for such engagement. 1.11.2. Any ARTIST who performs the services of a CHOREOGRAPHER in addition to that of a SOLO DANCER, shall be paid both fees, either at weekly rate or the single per performance rate, as the case may be.
EXTRA PERFORMANCES AND SERVICES. ‌ (a) Regardless of the number of contracts for which the PRINCIPAL ARTIST is engaged, if any ARTIST shall be required to take part in a greater number of performances in any one (1) week than is provided for herein, or if any Leading or Featured ARTIST is required to take part in two (2) performances in any one (1) day, such ARTIST shall be paid no less than an additional compensation based upon a pro-rata of their contractual compensation (exclusive of per diem) for each such additional performance. (b) Any ARTIST who performs the services of SINGER and STAGE DIRECTOR in the same opera production shall be compensated for such engagement by two (2) distinct fees, in the appropriate category. An ASSISTANT STAGE DIRECTOR shall not be cast in another role, however, an ASSISTANT STAGE DIRECTOR can stand in for a role in an emergency.

(b) Any ARTIST who performs the services of Singer and STAGE DIRECTOR in the same opera production shall be compensated for such engagement by two distinct fees, in the appropriate categories. (c) In the event a PERFORMING PRINCIPAL ARTIST is required to perform a cover role, per contractual commitment, the ARTIST will be paid at least the minimum per performance rate, commensurate with the classification of the role as listed in “Schedule C” and as provided above, for each performance rendered in addition to the ARTIST’s existing contractual compensation.

(c) In the event a PERFORMING PRINCIPAL ARTIST is required to perform a cover role, per contractual commitment, the ARTIST will be paid at least the minimum per performance rate, commensurate with the classification of the role as listed in “Schedule C” and as provided above, for each performance rendered in addition to the ARTIST’s existing contractual compensation. (d) All ARTISTS participating in OPERA THEATRE’s lecture demonstration (currently a program under the auspices of OPERA THEATRE’s Education Department presented during the Festival season and called “Spotlight on Opera”) are covered by the terms of this basic agreement provided however that in lieu of overtime compensation and/or free day compensation as otherwise provided in this Basic Agreement the ARTIST so participating shall receive no less than the following: As of As of As of As of As of $126.15 $128.36 $130.93 $134.20 $138.23 ARTISTS so participating on their free day shall not be entitled to receive a replacement free day for such week. All participation shall be voluntary.

If any ARTIST engaged on a weekly basis shall be required to take part in a greater number of performances in any one week than is provided for herein, or if any Leading or Featured ARTIST is required to take part in two (2) performances in any one (1) day, such ARTIST shall be paid no less than an additional compensation based upon a pro-rata of his contractual compensation (exclusive of per diem) for each such additional performance. Section 2. Any ARTIST who performs the services of Singer and one of the following in the same opera production shall be compensated for such engagement by two distinct fees, in the appropriate category: Stage Director, Stage Manager, Assistant Stage Director and Assistant Stage Manager. Section 3. Two (2) productions presented within each contract year may be scheduled with a maximum weekly total of 36 hours without overtime compensation. If the maximum weekly total is exceeded, the PRINCIPAL shall be compensated at the overtime rate per hour specified in Article XX of this Agreement. For all other productions within each contract year, a maximum weekly total of thirty (30) rehearsal hours may be scheduled without overtime compensation.
