Coordination During Installation. The Department and QESP shall coordinate the activities of QESP's Equipment installers with those of the Department, its employees, and agents. QESP shall cooperate with Department when performing Work to minimize conflicts and facilitate usage of Project Site(s). QESP shall not commit or permit any act which will interfere with the performance of business activities conducted by the Department or its employees without prior written approval of the Department. In addition, QESP shall provide adequate building and fire code egress from the Project Site(s) while performing the Work and, if required, shall be responsible for preparing egress plans for Department and State Fire Marshal approval.

Prior to commencing Work, RES shall submit pedestrian and vehicular protection and safety plans and details for the Customer’s approval, and shall erect and maintain all signs, barriers and other protection in the plan approved by the Customer, it being understood that temporary or caution tape or pylons shall not be deemed sufficient protection. All signs, signals and barricades employed by RES shall conform to the requirements of all applicable federal, state and local laws, rules, regulations and ordinances including, without limitation, the requirements of Part 1926 of the Regulations of the Department of Labor, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (“Safety and Health Regulations for Construction”), Subpart G - “Signs, Signals and Barricades” (29 C.F.R. §1926.200). If the parking area allocated elsewhere in the Contract Documents for use by RES and separate contractors is inadequate, the Customer and municipal authorities may prohibit on site parking for worker’s vehicles and require RES to transport its workers to and from an “off site” central parking area, at no charge to the Customer.
