Coaching Schedule. 14.4.9.1 Coaches shall be paid in one payment, at the satisfactory conclusion of their regular coaching assignment, for the following duties as provided in Education Code Section 45049 and as specified in their job description. All assignments must be ratified by the Board of Trustees annually.

A business and/or life coaching relationship is a partnership between two or more individuals or entities. This relationship is not a legal partnership, instead more like a teacher-student or coach-athlete relationship. Each party must uphold their obligations for the coaching relationship to be successful. Coach agrees to maintain the ethics and standards of behavior established by the International Coach Federation (IFC), an internationally recognized standard for coaching. Client agrees to communicate honestly, be open to feedback and suggestions, and to fully engage and devote himself/herself to the coaching process. Client acknowledges and agrees that coaching is a comprehensive process that may explore different areas of his/her life, including work, finances, health and relationships, but it is ultimately the Client’s decision how he/she incorporates coaching into each aspect of life. Client is solely responsible for implementing the techniques discovered through coaching.

Coaching Schedule. When placing coaches on the Activities Cluster Schedule (Appendix E), any experience coaching one (1) or more school extra-curricular sports in a school year shall be deemed a year’s experience for placement on the pay schedule.

Coaching Schedule. Coaching duties shall be filled by bargaining unit members on a voluntary basis. Available positions shall be publicized to staff. Five workdays shall be provided for bargaining unit members to indicate interest in such positions. If such interest is expressed, such positions shall be posted. When more than one qualified bargaining unit member may be interested, qualifications as determined by the Superintendent and length of service shall be considered. Except for head varsity positions which may be filled by an outside applicant with superior qualifications, the most qualified bargaining unit member, as determined by the administration, will be appointed to the position. Positions for which no qualified bargaining unit member applies may be filled by non-bargaining unit members. The rate of pay, or other compensation, if any, shall be established by the Board.
