Cash Collateral for Letters of Credit Sample Clauses

The "Cash Collateral for Letters of Credit" clause requires a party to provide cash or cash-equivalent assets as security to support obligations under a letter of credit. Typically, this means the party must deposit funds into a designated account, which the issuing bank or beneficiary can access if the party defaults or if the letter of credit is drawn upon. This arrangement ensures that the beneficiary has a reliable source of payment, thereby reducing the risk of non-payment and enhancing the creditworthiness of the party requesting the letter of credit.
