Bumpers Sample Clauses
The "Bumpers" clause establishes specific limits or boundaries within which certain actions or changes can occur under a contract. Typically, this clause sets maximum or minimum thresholds—such as price adjustments, delivery quantities, or timeframes—that cannot be exceeded without further negotiation or agreement. For example, it might cap annual price increases at a certain percentage or restrict the number of allowable changes to a project scope. The core function of the Bumpers clause is to provide predictability and protect both parties from unexpected or excessive variations, thereby reducing risk and ensuring contractual stability.
