ARTICLE REPRESENTATION. The Employer will recognize a Grievance composed of not more than four (4) employees selected by the Union to be known as provided that no more than four (4) members of the Grievance Committee, including the Chief Xxxxxxx, shall be present at any meeting with the Employer. In order to provide proper representation for employees, the Union will appoint a temporary Xxxxxxx to act in the place of any Xxxxxxx who is absent from work for a period of more than seven days. The Union will inform the Employer of the name of the appointee. Where an employee is required to attend a meeting in which a written warning, suspension or discharge is to be given, the Department Head or designate will inform the employee of his right to have a union xxxxxxx present prior to taking up the matter with the employee. The employee may, if desired, request the presence of the union xxxxxxx during the interview. Where the employee requests such representation, the Department Head will send for the xxxxxxx without further discussion of the matter with the employee. If a xxxxxxx is not available, the employer shall schedule the disciplinary meeting within the next twenty-four hours and it shall then become the sole responsibility of the employee concerned to arrange for a union xxxxxxx to be in attendance when the meeting occurs. The union acknowledges its responsibility to keep the employer informed of a current list of union stewards. This requirement for union representation becomes null and void where the Employer has not received the names of union stewards, or the Employer given incorrect names or the employee fails to for a xxxxxxx to attend the meeting scheduled by the Department Head within the twenty-four hours as provided above. The Chief Xxxxxxx and Union Business Agent shall receive copies of all disciplinary notices issued to members of the bargaining unit which have been placed on the individual's personnel file at the time of issue unless the employee specifically requests copies not be sent. Any disciplinary notation issued to an employee will be removed from his record two (2) years after the date of issuance provided the employee receives no other disciplinary notation of a similar nature within the said two year period. Employees shall not be eligible to serve as members of the Grievance Committee unless they have been in the Employer's continuous employ for not less than six months. ARTICLE REPRESENTATION. The Employer agrees to recognize the following Union Committees: A Negotiations Committee, an Relations Committee and a Health and Safety Committee. The privilege of committee members or Stewards handing grievances to leave their work without loss of pay or benefits to attend to Union business is granted on the following conditions:
ARTICLE REPRESENTATION. The Company shall provide the Union with a list of managers who will deal with the Union's Labour Relations Committee. The Union shall provide the Company with a list of the members of the Labour Relations Committee, which may include a representative from the International Office of the the Local Union Business Representative. Meetings between the Company and the Labour Relations Committee shall be held when requested by either party but not more often than once every month. Matters to be discussed at any such conference shall be listed on an agenda to be supplied by the Party requesting the conference to the other Party at least five (5) working days prior to the day for which the conference is requested, unless otherwise arranged by the Parties. The Company hereby agrees that it shall provide office with desk, chair, filing cabinet and phone for the Union. Meetings and contract negotiations between the Company and the Union will be convened during normal working hours and those in attendance will not suffer any loss of regular pay or overtime opportunity as a result of their participation in such proceedings. During contract negotiations (which shall be held at a neutral venue) between the Company and the Union, the Parties shall share equally in the payment of wages for the members of the Union Bargaining Committee which shall not exceed four (4) members unless otherwise mutually agreed. Accordingly, the Union will be billed for their share for the wages of the members acting in this capacity at their regular hourly rate with no additional burden assessed.

ARTICLE REPRESENTATION. The business representative of the Union must make arrangementswith the Manager of the Employer or his designated representativeto visit the plant of the Employer; permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. All members of Union Committees and all stewards must have one (1) year or more service with the Employer to serve in such capacity, provided that if no such employee is willing to accept appointment the Union may appoint an employee to temporarily fill the position. Union notices shall be posted provided they have the Manager's prior written approval The Employer agrees that the Union through the xxxxxxx may intervieweach new employee during the first thirty (30) days of employment for the purpose of acquainting the new employee with the Collective Agreement.
