AMPS Clause Samples
The AMPS clause establishes the terms and conditions related to the use or provision of Automated Metering and Payment Systems within a contract. Typically, this clause outlines the responsibilities of each party regarding the installation, maintenance, and operation of such systems, as well as the procedures for data collection and payment processing. For example, it may specify who is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of meter readings or how disputes over usage data are resolved. The core function of the AMPS clause is to ensure clear allocation of duties and minimize disputes related to automated metering and payment, thereby streamlining billing and payment processes.
