Accidental Damage Protection. GCCC has procedures in place to repair the MLD against some accidental damage not covered by the standard warranty. This coverage does not provide for damage caused by fire, theft, loss, misuse, intentional or frequent damage or cosmetic damage. GCCC technicians will service repairs and replacements for defective parts and acts of accidental damage. However, if the damages are negligence, misuse or maliciousness there will be charges accessed to the student who is assigned that MLD.
Accidental Damage Protection. I acknowledge and understand the following information regarding the school laptop Accidental Damage insurance policy: Note: Every ADP claim incurs an excess $50 fee All devices are provided with an accidental damage insurance plan (ADP) provided by Dell/AIG. Dell/AIG reserves the right to deny an ADP claim at their reasonable discretion. Coverage for accidental damage is limited to one qualified incident per supported product per 12-month period commencing from the start date of the term of your Service Contract. In the event you do not submit a claim for a Qualified Incident within one 12-month period, the Qualified Incidents do not accumulate or carry over to any subsequent 12-month period. Accordingly, each Qualified Incident will be applied to the 12-month period during which it is reported, even if such incident is resolved during a subsequent period.
Accidental Damage Protection. Pick-up and Return An HP authorized courier will pick up the failed product at Customer site within the geographic location where the service is provided and deliver it to the HP-designated repair facility. Calls must be received before 4:00pm local time, Monday through Friday excluding HP holidays, for same-day pickup, cut-off times may vary based on Customer location. All other calls will be scheduled for next-business-day pickup. The estimated time to repair the product will be provided to you by the HP phone technician on your initial call to HP. Service Limitations The service may be performed at an HP designated repair facility by an HP service professional or other authorized representative. At HP’s discretion, service will be provided using remote diagnosis and support or other service delivery methods, or a combination of remote diagnosis and support and service delivered at the HP designated Repair Center. Other service delivery methods may include the shipment of parts specified as customer replaceable like e.g. floppy drive or ac adapter. HP will determine the appropriate delivery method required. Services such as the following, but not limited to, are excluded from this service: • Recovery of the operating system, other software, and data • Troubleshooting for interconnectivity or compatibility problems • Services required due to failure of customer to incorporate any system fix, repair, patch, or modification provided to the customer by HP • Services required due to failure of the customer to take avoidance action previously advised by HP • User preventative maintenanceGeographic coverage may vary Accidental damage protection does NOT provide coverage for: • Damage caused by failure to provide manufacturer’s recommended maintenance or operating specifications • Damage due to war or nuclear incident, terrorism, unauthorized attempts to repair product, use of damaged or defective media • Data, business interruptions, obsolescence, cosmetic damage, rust, change in color, texture or finish, wear and tear, gradual deterioration • Error in design, construction, machine programming or instructions to the machine • Fraud, fire, theft, unexplained or mysterious disappearance, misuse, abuse or willful act • Alteration or modification of the product in any way Accidental Damage protection is limited to one Accidental Damage Event per year. Accidental Damage Protection. The Xxxxxx School District has purchased an ADP to protect the devices against accidental damage such as: liquid spills, accidental drops, power surges, and natural disasters. This coverage does not provide for damage caused by fire, theft, loss, misuse, intentional, or frequent damage, or cosmetic damage. Fujitsu will assess the device damage and repair or replace the machine at no cost if the damage is determined to be accidental, infrequent, and within the protection guidelines. Xxxxxx School District’s Technology Coordinator will arrange for service repairs and replacements for detective parts and acts of accidental damage. Please report all device problems to the Technology Coordinator.
