Government of India definition

Government of India means and includes the Government of India and the Government of a Union Territory also; and
Government of India means any government, regulatory authority, governmental department, agency, commission, board, tribunal or court or other law, rule or regulation-making entity, having or purporting to have jurisdiction on behalf of the Republic of India, or province or state or other subdivision thereof or any municipality, district or other subdivision thereof;
Government of India has the meaning given to such term in the Recitals to this Agreement.

  • If the Monitor has reported to the Chairperson of the Board a substantiated suspicion of an offence under relevant Anti-Corruption Laws of India, and the Chairperson has not, within reasonable time, taken visible action to proceed against such offence or reported it to the Vigilance Office, the Monitor may also transmit this information directly to the Central Vigilance Commissioner, Government of India.

  • The Buyer will also have the right to recover any such amount from any contracts concluded earlier with the Government of India.
