You are expected to work within Occupational Health and Safety Act, regulations and codes of practice and the Centre’s OHS policies and procedures at all times O R G AN I SAT I O N A L R EL AT I O N SH I P S Reports to: Box Office Coordinator Director Operations and Experience Directly supervises: Box Office Staff - Internal liaisons: All Staff Redevelopment team, Facilities team, Technical Operations team, Production and Presenter Services, Governance/People and Culture team and all other Centre staff External liaisons: Patrons, hirers State/local government and external ticketing promoters KEY R ESP O N S I B I L I T I ES 1 People and teams • Assist Box Office coordinator to train and roster GAC Box Office • Exemplify excellent service in all dealings with all staff, patrons and visitors 2 Box Office • Contribute to the provision of high-quality ticketing services for Geelong Arts Centre • Support management through assisting with the building shows and events within GAC’s CRM & Ticketing system and developing skills in the arearegulatory bodies as required. • Monitoring seating inventory, liaising with presenters and promoters when applicable • Assist in managing an extensive database of ticket purchasers • Authorise refunds or substitute tickets when required in order to resolve customer complaints (within organisational policy and in consultation with management) • Assist with development and management of scheduled reporting 3 Corporate Support • Assist with collating sales data and compiling EDM and Mailing lists for the Marketing department • Assist with the maintenance of show pages on the website • Provide an exceptional first impression as is often first point of contact for visitors to the centre • Provide information and assistance for visitors to the centre, needing access to administrative and corporate support in other areas of the organisation Q U A L I F I C AT I O N S AN D E XPER I EN C E Essential • Ticketing and/or reservations experience • Excellent customer service experience • Computer Skills – Microsoft office suite Personal Attributes • Ability to communicate reliable and accurate information Special characteristics • A component of evening and weekend work will be required as part of the normal hours of duty for this position. • A GAC uniform will be provided at GAC’s expense, and the wearing of this uniform is compulsory for this position • Geelong Arts Centre requires that the incumbent must undergo a pre-employment identity check and both National and International Police Checks (if spent more than 2 years overseas).
