Student Responsibilities I acknowledge that I have been provided with a VET Student Handbook and VET Induction session, which contains information on the topics listed below. I acknowledge that I have read the handbook and was present at the induction session. I understandthat I can access further information on these topics should I wish to do so from my VET Teacher/s or the RTO Manager. I also understand that this information is available any time on request and on the school website. Information will also be recorded by Xxxxxxxx State High School in a supportive Student Management System they will use to issue the relevant certification. I understandthat I have an obligationto provide Xxxxxxxx State High School with a valid USI during the enrolment process or riskbeing withdrawn from the VET course. I alsounderstand that subject charges varyaccording to individual Certificate requirements as outlined in operationalcost form and effective learning environment in the Senior Curriculum Handbook (xxx.xxxxxxxxxxx.xx.xxx.xx). I alsoagree to the school showingcopies of anyof my VET completed assessment tasks to the QCAA on request. I understandthat student work is required inorder to satisfy the QCAA that enables all assessment is of the participating children to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards as follows: Provide a high- quality effective learning environment that is safe and that enables the student to meet the State’s student academic achievement standards • Provide ongoing two-way communication between teachers and parents through parent-teacher-student conferences and frequent reports to parents • Academic reports correct, industry standard. This acknowledgement form will be provided four times during valid for the school year. There will be two parent-teacher conferences held in the Fall and Spring full deliveryperiod of each school year. • Provide reasonable access to staff through an “open door” policy • Provide opportunities for parents to volunteer and participate in their child’s class and observe classroom activities • Provide a mutually respectful relationship between all parties (studentsany certificated vocational course spanning Years 10, parents, teachers, and volunteers) Parent-Responsibilities As a Parent/Guardian, I will • Monitor my child’s attendance • Monitor my child academically, socially, and behaviorally on a daily basis and contact the teacher immediately if I notice any concerns in these areas. • Limit my child’s use of computers and television each day. Discuss the sites and programs they are viewing on the computer and television. This also pertains to the technology devices such as: X-box, Wii, etc. • Provide a time to discuss the reading and math activities my child brings home each day/week. • Read/Listen to my child read 20 minutes a day. • Volunteer at school/home to help my child’s classroom/school. • Contact my child’s teacher to learn ways I can help my child. • Guide my child in the understanding on how the information they are learning at school pertains to their daily life. • Promote positive use of my child’s extracurricular time • Staying informed about my child’s education and communicating with the school by promptly reading all notices from the school or the school district either received by my child or mail and responding, as appropriate. • Serving, to the extent possible, on policy advisory groups, such as the Title I Part A parent representative on the school’s School Improvement Team, the Title I Policy Advisory Committee, the District Wide Policy Advisory Council, the State’s Committee of Practitioners, the School Support Team or other school advisory or policy groups. Student Responsibility As a student, I will • Always do my best in my work and behavior and ask my teacher/family if I need help. • Work cooperatively with my classmates and respect their differences. • Write down my assignments and make a checklist of homework I need to complete each day. • Work/discuss math and reading skills I have covered in school with my parents. • Discuss with my parent/guardian the television programs, computer sites and technology devices I use each day. • Give to my parents or the adult who is responsible for my welfare all notices and information received by me from my school every day. Teacher Responsibiltiy As a teacher, I will • Believe that each student can learn and make sure each student receives the help they need. • Build a relationship with the student and their family by continuous communication throughout the school year. • Send home learning materials which the family can do together. • Make sure the student understands the assignments. • Provide high quality instruction to assist students in learning the state standards and inform parents on how to access the Common Core Standards. • Enforce school and classroom rules fairly and consistently. • Promote continuous communication with the student and their family. • Involve parents/guardians in their child’s classroom and other school activities • Display professionalism and a positive attitude.
