Educational Assistants. Teachers are responsible to assign instructional duties to Educational Assistants who are allocated to students in their classroom by the Principal.

Educational Assistants. Have a current Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential™, coursework for a certificate that meets the requirements for CDA Credential™ preparation, or is enrolled in and working toward completing a program that prepares the individual to obtain the CDA Credential™ (Act 210, Section 4, SLH 2021 per new section identified as HRS § 302D-39);
Educational Assistants. An employee shall be considered a Part-Time employee where the employee is regularly scheduled to work less than twenty-five (25) hours per week during the school year.
Educational Assistants. An employee shall only be considered a Full-Time employee where the employee is regularly scheduled to work a minimum of twenty-five (25) hours per week during the school year. The normal hours of work shall be up to seven (7) hours per day to a maximum of thirty-five (35) hours per week.
Educational Assistants. The regular work week shall be a maximum of six and one half (6.5) hours per day, Monday through Friday, for a total of thirty-two and one half (32.5) hours per week maximum, including 4 PD days and exam days as required by the program. Educational Assistants. When educationally necessary, as determined by the administration, educational assistants may be employed at any institutional level. Educational Assistants will be under the supervision of the teacher and building principal. They shall not be employed to occupy positions normally filled by licensed teachers.
Educational Assistants. In the event that a vacancy occurs or a new position is created during the period July 1st to September 30th, the position(s) shall be posted by September 30th for a period of one (1) week excluding holidays.
