Posting Requirement. When the Employer determines that a permanent vacancy in the bargaining unit exists, the Employer agrees to post notice of such a vacancy for seven (7) calendar days on the Employer’s internal web site. Only permanent employees and laid-off employees are eligible to apply. In the case of contract positions, Article 7.07 applies.
Posting Requirement. Subject to the provisions of 11.1, when a position becomes vacant through the dismissal, demotion, death, abandonment, promotion, resignation, transfer or retirement of an employee, or action by the District to create a new position, the vacancy shall be posted at all District worksites within ten (10) calendar days of establishment of the vacancy. This shall not restrict the District's ability to employ a substitute pending the filling of the vacancy, so long as the District actively seeks to fill the vacancy.
