Officer Leave. Upon request of XXXX, an employee elected to a state or national office of an affiliated professional organization may be granted a one (1) year unpaid leave of absence to serve in such office.

Officer Leave. Leave without pay shall be granted, when required, to any Association member 37 who shall have been elected or appointed to a position in the National Education Association, 38 Washington Education Association, or the WEA-Riverside UniServ Council. The employee shall 39 notify the Superintendent of the need for leave upon verification of his/her election or 40 appointment to that position. Leave shall be for the duration of time in that office, either 41 continuous or on a daily basis, depending on the nature of the position. Upon return, the 42 employee shall be returned to his/her former position, if available, or if not available, to a 43 substantially equivalent position with at least equivalent compensation. He/she shall retain all 44 seniority and tenure. 45
Officer Leave. One employee elected or designated by the Union to a full-time Union assignment shall be eligible for full-time paid leave, which shall be remunerated by the Employer as follows:

Officer Leave. Upon written request of MHTA on or before July 10, preceding the year of the leave, an employee elected to a state or national office of an affiliated professional organization (e.g., union) may be granted an unpaid leave of absence to serve in such office as approved at the discretion of the Superintendent and Board.

  • President’s Leave The Employer shall authorize a leave of absence with pay for the President of the Association. The leave of absence with pay shall be taken for a two-year period beginning two (2) weeks after written notice by the Association to the Bureau of Employee Relations and the newly-elected President’s agency. During such leave of absence with pay, the President shall continue to receive and retain all of his/her wages, rights, benefits, and seniority as a state employee except that all leave accumulation shall be frozen for the duration of the leave of absence. Upon returning from the leave of absence, the President shall resume earning leave at the rates appropriate to his/her service at the time of return. The Employer agrees that there shall be no action taken with respect to the President or the President’s state position prior to or following his/her return from the leave of absence because of his/her legal union activities. The Association agrees to reimburse the Employer for the full cost of the wages and benefits for the President, and to indemnify the Employer against any and all liabilities associated with the leave of absence, including but not limited to workers' compensation.

  • Volunteer Leave Subject to operational requirements as determined by the employer, and with at least five (5) business days’ notice, an employee shall be granted one (1) day of paid leave per fiscal year to perform volunteer work for an organization, community activity or charity, other than activities related to the Government of Canada Workplace Charitable Campaign, including those determined by or supported by the employer. The notice to the employer shall include the nature of the volunteer work that the employee wishes to perform. This leave may be divided in two (2) periods of three decimal seven five (3.75) hours and be taken on two (2) separate days.

  • Xxxxx’s leave (1) An employee is entitled to use up to 10 days accrued personal leave each year to care for a member of his or her immediate family or a member of his or her household who is ill and requires his or her care. The employee is not entitled to take xxxxx’s leave for a particular period if another person has taken leave to care for the person for the same period.

  • Transition Leave At the Appointing Authority’s discretion an employee under notice of permanent layoff may be granted up to one hundred and sixty (160) hours of paid leave, ending at the date of layoff. Hours of leave may be granted at any time throughout the layoff notice period and shall not be subject to the Application and Reinstatement provision of this Article.

  • Carer’s Leave An employee may use up to 10 days accrued sick days as carers leave to tend to the care for members of the employee’s immediate household. The leave will be subject to the employee providing reasonable proof of the need for the use of xxxxx’s leave. In circumstances where the employee has exhausted all of the paid leave, a further 2 days unpaid leave may be taken.

  • Family Sick Leave An employee may use Family Sick Leave for the illness of a member of the employee's immediate family who requires the care and assistance of the employee. Up to eighty (80) hours per calendar year of the employee’s accumulated unused sick leave may be used for this purpose.

  • Accrued Sick Leave The Board shall provide all employees with a cumulative record 23 of accrued sick leave hours on each pay statement.
