Yours truly, Alex Brat Director, Labour Relations Educational Assistance Policy INTRODUCTION In keeping with its policy objective to provide staff members with opportunities for personal development and establish a working environment that will encourage them to develop their abilities, the University has designed this practice on Educational Assistance. Its provisions define the extent to which the University will financially assist staff to further their formal education. TERMS OF REFERENCE Qualifying staff members referred to below are those staff who are eligible in terms of University service (described under ELIGIBILITY) and have academic acceptability by the Faculty, School, Centre, etc., from whom the course is to be taken and the approval of the Department Head before beginning the course as described under PROCEDURES.

Educational Assistance Policy. 24.1 The Employer agrees to an Educational Assistance Policy to stimulate self-development through formal education from a qualified and accredited institution. In order to qualify for this program, the employee must meet the following criteria:

The Board of Education will pay the cost of Tuition, in the amount hereinafter set forth, for approved courses as hereinafter described, up to a maximum of twelve (12) credits per year provided, and further provided that evidence is given to the Superintendent of satisfactory completion of and grades received for said courses. In order to receive reimbursement for courses taken during the second semester of a school year, the administrator must be on the payroll of the Board of Education as of September 1 the following year.

For injuries of a less serious nature it is desirable that a Worker Committee member be involved in an investigation. Cleanliness in dressing rooms and washrooms is to be maintained at all times. Cleanliness, good housekeeping and sanitation are prerequisite to the production of quality products. Privacy in washrooms, as defined by the Health and Safety Act, will be provided by the Company. Work uniforms and equipment must not be removed from the plant. Employees are required to observe good housekeeping and sanitation procedures and maintain high standards of personal hygiene and health. Employees will, and the Association shall, encourage its members to co-operate fully in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in the use of all facilities and devices provided by the Company.
Educational Assistance Policy. The company will provide a tuition reimbursement program to support professional/career growth and/or “trade-related” education. Eligibility • Individual must be working at LS&Co. for six months or more as a fulltime employee. • Employee must have good job performance, evidence by no active 2nd or final improvement notices, good attendance record, and employee involvement is preferred. • Employee must be enrolled in an accredited institution. • Course must be scheduled outside of the employee’s normal work schedule and not interfere with his/her job performance. • Course/class must be: o Related to job performance o Applicable to the current job o Applicable to the next career step within LS&Co. • Employee must initially pay for course/class out of pocket. (Employees receiving scholarships and/or grants of any source are eligible for tuition assistance for the portion that exceeds the grant) • Employee must successfully complete course/class and provide documentation of a passing grade (“C” or better). • Employee must, submit completed application at least 30 days before the start of course/class for Company approval. Educational Assistance Policy. Purpose: The Company recognizes the importance of the educational/skills development of its employees. Educational /skills assistance is available to assist employees in obtaining additional education and skills training to improve their competence at their present jobs and to prepare for future advancement within the Bargaining Unit. In addition, eligible employees may take one course per year that will prepare the employee for advancement to a position in the Company outside the Bargaining Unit.
Educational Assistance Policy. To the extent a Transferred Employee successfully completes a course that is in progress prior to the Cut-Off Date, the expenses for which are reimbursable under the Seller Educational Assistance Policy, Seller shall reimburse such Transferred Employee for the eligible expenses under the terms and conditions of the Seller Educational Assistance Policy. The eligible expenses for any courses initiated and successfully completed by a Transferred Employee on or after the Cut-Off Date shall be reimbursed by the Purchaser under the Purchaser employee educational assistance plan.

  • Mutual Assistance Each party shall assist the other in complying with all applicable requirements of the Data Protection Legislation. In particular, each party shall:

  • Training and Education SECTION 1 – Law Enforcement Supervisors’ Training The state and the PBA recognize the importance of supervisor training programs to develop management skills in our law enforcement supervisors. The state will make a reasonable effort to continue existing training programs in law enforcement techniques and to develop new programs in performance review techniques, supervisory skills, and managerial techniques.

  • Audit Assistance Each of the Parties and their respective Subsidiaries are or may be subject to regulation and audit by a Governmental Authority (including a Taxing Authority), standards organizations, customers or other parties to contracts with such Parties or their respective Subsidiaries under applicable Law, standards or contract provisions. If a Governmental Authority, standards organization, customer or other party to a contract with a Party or its Subsidiary exercises its right to examine or audit such Party’s or its Subsidiary’s books, records, documents or accounting practices and procedures pursuant to such applicable Law, standards or contract provisions, and such examination or audit relates to the Services, then the other Party shall provide, at the sole cost and expense of the requesting Party, all assistance reasonably requested by the Party that is subject to the examination or audit in responding to such examination or audits or requests for Information, to the extent that such assistance or Information is within the reasonable control of the cooperating Party and is related to the Services.

  • Regulatory Assistance Provider will permit regulators with jurisdiction over BFA or any BFA Recipient to examine Provider’s activities relating to its performance under this Agreement and the Services. Subject to Section 17.6, Provider will cooperate and provide all information reasonably requested by the regulator in connection with any such examination and provide reasonable assistance and access to all equipment, records, and systems requested by the regulator relating to the Services.

  • Outplacement Assistance 14.1 Following a termination of employment, other than for Cause, the Executive shall be reimbursed by the Company for the costs of all outplacement services obtained by the Executive within the one-year period after the Effective Date of Termination; provided, however, that the total reimbursement shall be limited to an amount equal to $100,000. The provision of such outplacement services reimbursement shall be subject to the terms of Section 9(c).
