Common use of Conflict of Law Clause in Contracts

Conflict of Law. SECTION 1 The Board and the Association agree that all items in this agreement which supersede applicable state law and which may permissibly do so under Chapter 4117 of the Ohio Revised Code shall not be affected by this Article. In the event there is a conflict between a provision of this Agreement and any applicable state or federal law, or valid rule or regulation adopted by a federal or state agency pursuant thereto, the applicable state or federal law, or valid rule or regulation adopted by a federal or state agency shall prevail as to that provision. All other provisions of this Agreement which are not in conflict with any applicable state or federal law, or valid rule or regulation adopted by a federal or state agency pursuant thereto, shall continue in full force and effect in accordance with their terms.
