ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES. 7.091 A bargaining unit member may attend an adult education class offered by the District tuition-free on a space available basis until the class is full if the class has at least twelve (12) enrollees and the class is State-reimbursed. In such a case, the only charge to the member would be for books and other consumable supplies.

ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES. BOCES agrees that any of its employees covered by this Agreement shall be eligible to enroll in BOCES Adult Education classes at a cost of forty percent (40%) of the registration cost for such classes if minimum enrollment is reached for the class without considering unit members. An eligible employee must identify him/herself as a BOCES employee at the time of registration. All supply costs are to be borne by the employee.
ADULT EDUCATION CLASSES. Members of the bargaining unit with proper certification shall have first right of refusal to teach adult education classes.

Openings at Adult Education When openings occur in Adult Education, consideration will be given to qualified unit members from within Adult Education provided their training and/or industry/educational experience equals or exceeds that of the qualified candidates who apply for the position from outside Adult Education. In the event the applicant is not selected, they shall be informed upon request, as to why they was not selected. Announcements of openings shall be sent to the Certificated Personnel Office to be advertised via the District website and emailed to all certificated personnel.

  • Adult Education Teachers of Adult Education shall be paid at the rate of thirty-five ($35.00) an hour. Break time will not be deducted from teachers’ pay.

  • SPECIALIZED JOB CLASSES Where there is a particular specialized job class in which the pay rate is below the local market value assessment of that job class, the parties may use existing means under the collective agreement to adjust compensation for that job class.

  • Paid Education Leave The Company agrees to pay into a special fund, one (1¢) cent per hour per employee for all compensated hours for the purpose of providing paid education leave. Such leave will be for upgrading the employee skills in all aspects of trade union functions.   • Paid Educational Leave a. An employee may request special paid leave at straight-time hourly rate which may be granted employees for educational purposes which will benefit the State by adding to or strengthening employee skills or knowledge and to allow employees to attend approved conferences, professional meetings and workshops.

  • In-Service Education The parties recognize the value of in-service both to the employee and the Employer and shall encourage employees to participate in in-service. All employees scheduled by the Employer to attend in-service seminars shall receive regular wages.

  • Special Education Teachers Whenever any Elementary Special Education class to which a student(s) is(are) added as a result of the distribution of students from the class of an absent Elementary Special Education teacher, Article 8-7 shall be in effect. In addition, whenever the class size of the receiving Special Education teacher exceeds the class size maxim mandated by Special Education class size law and/or regulation, the Xxxxxxxx Formula in AAA Case No. 1139-0696- 85, February 21, 1986, shall be used to calculate the compensation which said teacher shall receive as follows: The rate of pay for said teacher for teaching said additional students shall be computed by multiplying the teacher’s daily gross compensation by a fraction in which the denominator is twenty-six (26) and the numerator is the number of children taught in excess of Article 8-1.1 Item 3 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the parties.
