Common use of Civil Service Clause in Contracts

Civil Service. (a) For regular or term employees transferred or appointed under the Civil Service Act, the probationary period shall be six (6) continuous months of employment immediately following the date on which the employee reports for work. On the expiration of such period of six (6) months the Deputy Head may extend the probationary period for further periods of three (3) months provided he or his designate advises the employee in writing prior to the extension. The total probationary period may not exceed twelve (12) months.
