Study Abroad. A student who is participating in a verified University-sponsored study abroad or co-op program may request an exception to cancel this Agreement through the Director of Housing Services or their designee.

Study Abroad. (a) Faculty Members chosen for Study Abroad winter or summer assignments cannot be displaced by other Faculty Members who have higher winter or summer priority.

Study Abroad. Residents may retain possession of their assignment while away by paying the associated room rate and fees for the entirety of their absence. Residents who choose not to pay for their room during their absence forfeit that specific assignment and agree to accept any room available at the time of their return to the halls. Residents who submit a Waiver Form for fall and who then cancel their contract for spring, but who remain enrolled will be charged the 80% penalty and will forfeit the prepayment. There will be no refund for unused Dining Dollar$ and un-issued Dining Dollar$ will be issued and billed at face value.
Study Abroad. Unless studying in an American school using the American grading system, district students who study abroad will receive credit/no credit on their district transcript. Students shall be responsible for submitting transcripts to other educational institutions for the purpose of determining any grades for such courses. Students must provide an official transcript to their home school counseling office from the study abroad institution they attended. Subject Area Council Norms Each site has one voting subject area council member, filled by the department chair or a delegate if a department chair is unavailable. Others may attend the SAC, but unless they have been invited prior to the meeting to speak (which must be proposed by a SAC member and approved by the administrator assigned to the SAC), they are only allowed to observe, not participate. Summer School Students may drop or be dropped from a summer school class without academic penalty. Visual and Performing Arts (10 credits) All students must complete one year of visual or performing art for graduation. WORLD LANGUAGES 9th grade placement ● 9th grade students who take world language are placed in level I, unless they have successfully completed world language in middle school or they are a native speaker in the language of choice. ● Placement in level II or higher is based on a variety of factors including but not limited to 8th grade teacher recommendation, consultation with home high school’s world language department chair, number of years previously enrolled in course, and site-specific assessments of Native Speakers. 10th -12th grade placement ● 10th -12th-grade placement is based on successful completion of the previous level, student/parent input, and teacher recommendation. ● Native speakers not enrolled in a world language in the freshmen year will be assessed for proper placement in the 10th-, 11th- or 12th grade year. ● Students who fail World Language courses in ninth grade may repeat the course or recover credits to meet A-G requirements through enrollment in community college or an accredited institution.

Study Abroad. Those students who wish to Study Abroad in their spring semester and be released of spring semester housing charges MUST inform the Office of Residence Life no later than November 15th of their plans. Notifications must be received in writing supported by acceptance documentation. In turn, those students approved for study abroad will then be required to sign Exit documentation declaring they understand what is required to be released of spring semester charges without penalty. Failure to notify prior to the November 15th deadline will result in the resident being financially responsible for all fees, charges, costs, expenses, payments for damages and losses, and all other financial obligations of Resident under this License Agreement for the remainder of the current Fall and Spring Semester.
Study Abroad. Students must notify the Office of Residence Life and be prepared to check out of their room during the check-out period prior to their departure. Failure to check out will result in financial penalties as stated in the occupancy agreement and may be subjected to disciplinary action.
Study Abroad. Students studying abroad in the fall semester may not select fall housing; they may select housing for the spring semester by contacting the Office of Residence Life prior to Thanksgiving to request details. Students studying abroad in the spring semester may select fall housing. Roommates of students studying abroad will need to plan to receive another roommate when the student moves out. Emergency Contact Information. All resident students are required to provide the College with contact and related information for use in emergency situations, at the sole discretion of the College. It is the sole responsibility of the resident to ensure the accuracy of said information (including updates if changes should occur). Updates may be made by the student within the Self Service portal.
