New Teachers. No new teachers shall be hired for a vacancy for which a teacher on unrequested leave is certified.
New Teachers. 15.1 The Centre for Education agrees to acquaint new teachers with the fact that this Agreement is in effect and with the deductions provided for in Article 52 of the Teachers’ Provincial Agreement.
New Teachers. The Superintendent shall notify all newly appointed personnel of their specific positions within the subject area and/or grade level for which the Board has appointed the teacher. The Superintendent shall give notice of this assignment to new teachers as soon as practicable and except in cases of emergency, no later than August 15.
New Teachers. The Governing Board may adjust the number after discussions with the peer consultant. Peer consultants will assist in new staff orientation, workshops and graduate level course work as deemed appro- priate by the Governing Board.
New Teachers a. Final settlement of salary in the case of newly appointed teachers shall be dependent upon satisfactory evidence verifying certification and experience being submitted to the Secretary-Treasurer of the Board by November 30th. The commencing salary paid will be according to verified certification and experience. Should the Teacher Qualification Service verify a higher certification the salary will be adjusted retroactive to the beginning of the school year. The Board shall not refuse a reasonable request for extension of the time limits.
New Teachers. If the District requires a physical examination of new teachers, the cost of this examination shall be borne by the District. The District shall have the right to select the doctor who will make the examination.
New Teachers. The District and Association agree that the support of new teachers is essential for their success. Every effort will be made to assure their participation in professional development offerings, especially those designed specifically for teachers new to the District. The success of beginning teachers should be considered as schedules and assignments are developed.
New Teachers. The District shall provide the Association President or designee with names and addresses of new teachers covered by this Agreement after approval of their contracts by the Board.
New Teachers. 1. Effective July 1, 2001, new personnel may be required to attend up to five (5) additional days over the work year set forth in A. above during their first work year. These additional days shall be for orientation and in-service purposes.
