GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE. Section 1. A grievance shall be defined as a dispute or disagreement raised by an employee against the EMPLOYER involving the interpretation or application of the specific provisions of this AGREEMENT.

GRIEVANCE PROCEDURE. 7.01 Should any difference arise between an employee and the Company regarding the interpretation, application, administration or alleged violation of this Agreement, the employee concerned must discuss and attempt to resolve his difference with his immediate Supervisor before using the Grievance Procedure. If the answer of the immediate Supervisor is unsatisfactory, an xxxxxxx effort will be made to settle the difference in the following manner: Step No. 1 The Employee may, provided it is done within ten (10) calendar days of the incident giving rise to the difference, present it as a grievance to his immediate Supervisor. All grievances will be in writing and signed by the grievor. Such request will include Articles of the Agreement claimed to have been violated and the relief sought. The grievor may, at his option, be accompanied by a Grievance Xxxxxxx from his work area. If a Grievance Xxxxxxx is not available in his work area, another Grievance Xxxxxxx may be used. The Supervisor or his designate, accompanied by such other personnel as he may consider necessary, will, within ten (10) calendar days, meet with the grievor and a Grievance Xxxxxxx from his work area. A written decision will be supplied to the grievor within ten (10) calendar days of the meeting. It is understood that these decisions will be without precedent to any future cases. If the decision is unsatisfactory to the grievor, then: Step No. 2 The employee may, provided it is done within ten (10) calendar days from the time that the grievor received the Step No. 1 decision, present it as a grievance to his Department Superintendent. All grievances will be in writing and signed by the grievor. Such request will include Articles of the Agreement claimed to have been violated and the relief sought. The grievor may, at his option, be accompanied by a Grievance Xxxxxxx from his work area. If a Grievance Xxxxxxx is not available in his work area, another Grievance Xxxxxxx may be used.
